Match Report
Piddlehinton 5 - 3 Stickland United

Piddle got their first win of the season with a deserved 5-3 win over Stickland. Hargreaves got the ball rolling early on after Hansford played a dangerous ball into the box which the keeper failed to deal with and Hargreaves bundled the ball home. The second was not far behind as another Piddle break saw Jeanes crudely fouled in the box after beating his man, the ref pointed to the spot and Dovell coolly slotted the penalty in the bottom corner. Stickland hit back moments later from a twenty yard strike that flew in over stand in keeper McGhee giving him no chance. Towards the end of the half Hargreaves got his second, slotting the ball into the bottom corner after beating the offside trap.

The second half started as the first with Piddle on top and the fans didn't have to wait long for a goal. From a Sticland goal kick the keeper miss kicked the ball into the path of Jeanes who found Hargreaves with only the keeper to beat which he did with ease. Piddle then made it five with substitute Cutler playing a defence splitting ball to Hargreaves who finished comfortably by slotting the ball through the keepers legs for his fourth and Piddles fifth. Stickland did try to make a game of it late on by scoring two late goals, but the damage had already been done and Piddle ran out deserved winners.
