Match Report

AC Matravers 1 - 1 Piddlehinton
Piddle ground out a 1-1 draw at matravers in a rather scrappy game which only came to life in the latter stages. Not helped by a bobbly pitch both teams failed to string passes together or make any real clear cut chances. Ben Jeanes nearly broke the deadlock after 15 mins with a 20 yard snap shot which hit the bar and went over, if prizes were given out for hitting the woodwork at the end of the season Jeanes would certainly be battling for that trophy!! Jason"Cryuff Turn"Mcghee, making his first start of the season after an injury ravaged 10 years showed glimpses of the skill that could have made him a Dorset league legend, with his neat footwork and passing he was a constant threat. Just when it looked like being a 0-0, which is unheard of in div 3 or 4 Dovell nodded a thow in into his path and coolly finished over the keeper. With Piddle looking like getting a valuable 3 points they were dealt a sucker punch when a hopeful ball into the Piddle area took a wicked bounce over Gerlack and the A/C forward was there to pounce giving Cocker no chance in the Piddle goal. Final score 1-1.
